Fury
Brunswick Bowling Balls. The market has been asking for it and you've been warned it was coming...........now the new high performance brand from Brunswick is finally here! After three years of development Brunswick proudly introduces FURY. FURY comes to market with two new technologies High Octane Coverstock and Symmetric Torsion Core Technology.
Coverstock:
High Octane Coverstock is Brunswick's latest development in Solid Color Coverstock Technology. The Ultimate & Scorchin' Inferno balls were the humble predecessors to the new performance standard of FURY. More aggressive than Activator or ActivatorMAX, High Octane coverstock provides more traction in the oil and is better able to handle the combination of hard synthetic lane surfaces and the carrydown created by todays high-tech lane oils. Fury is the highest hook potential non-particle ball Brunswick has ever produced and is our best ever combination of high hook potential, great mid-lane recovery combined with strong and continuous back-end reaction.
Core:
The Torsion core is a new core shape concept that involves applying a computerized torsion or twisting process to high-tech shapes. Brunswick testing has shown that the Torsion core should quickly become known for its high hook potential, easy revving and powerful, but controllable breakpoints. The first Torsion core is a symmetric version that requires no unique drilling techniques. Brunswick has twisted the core on the inside of the ball so you can twist it up more on the lanes. It started with a Fuze, turned into an Inferno and now comes the Fury. Feel the FURY.
Reaction Characteristics
Out of the Box: The FURY continues the Brunswick tradition of controlling the mid-lane to create maximum forgiveness and versatility. With its 800-grit wet sand surface, the FURY matches up well on most medium to oily house conditions.
When dulled: The hooking action will increase and its arc will become more even, creating a better match-up for oily lane conditions and for smoothing over/under reactions seen on wet/dry lane conditions.
When shined: With either Brunswick's Factory Finish "High Gloss Polish" or "Rough Buff", your FURY will go longer in the oil and react stronger to the dry creating a more skid/snap arc. High Gloss Polish creates more length than Rough Buff.
Fury Pearl
Brunswick Bowling Balls. Once again Brunswick responds to the market. To complement the success of the Fury, bowlers asked for a pearlized version. Answering the call, Brunswick delivers the Fury Pearl.
Coverstock:
Building on the success of the original Fury, the Fury Pearl utilizes a pearlized coverstock and a smoother Coverstock Finish to create a ball with a back-end reaction that is truly BIG. The Fury Pearl utilizes a pearlized version of the High Octane coverstock used on the original Fury. The pearl additive helps create more length and saves hooking action for the back-ends.Glossy Non-Compound Finish: The bowling industry is starting to embrace the surface finishes created by 2000-grit and 4000-grit abrasives. These abrasives create a glossy finish that many bowlers would assume are polished with a wax or similar compound. The benefit to the bowler is that these finishes create length similar to balls coated with compound finishes, but are better able to handle carrydown. The Fury Pearl is finished with 4000-grit Abrasive pads driven by the new Haus high speed bowling ball resurfacing machine.
Core:
The Fury Pearl uses the original Furys Torsion Symmetric core system known for its high hook potential, easy revving and powerful, but controllable breakpoints. Brunswick has twisted the core on the inside of the ball so you can twist it up more on the lanes.
Reaction Characteristics
Out of the Box: With its 4000-grit finish, the Fury Pearl will provide a more skid/snap reaction than the original Fury and match up well on medium-dry to medium-oily lane conditions.
If your Fury Pearl goes too long: Shiny surface finishes sometimes cause the ball to go too long before breaking. To get your Fury Pearl rolling sooner, dull the surface with a 2000-grit abrasive (Abralon or Scotch-Brite Gold pads) to increase hooking action. To further increase hooking action, use a rougher abrasive to create an earlier reaction.
If your Fury Pearl hooks too early: Polish your Fury Pearl will Brunswicks Factory Finish High Gloss Polish to increase length.
To bring your Fury Pearl back to its original factory finish, sand the surface with 4000-grit Abralon or White Scotch-Brite pads.
Total Inferno
Brunswick Bowling Balls. Octane Gription Coverstock
The Total Inferno is the second ball to take full advantage of Brunswick's new Urethane casting machine. By fusing a new additive with new processing technology, Brunswick has created a version of Octane coverstock with more back-end grip.
Reaction Characteristics - Absolute InfernoŽ on steroids
With increased grip in light oil and in the dry, Octane Gription coverstock gives the Total Inferno a length similar to other rough buffed Brunswick balls but with more response late in the mid-lane, on the back-ends and on the thickest of carrydown. Improved grip has another advantage. The Total Inferno responds less to oil moving down the lane, minimizing reactions changes due to carrydown. The increase in down lane hooking action delivers a ball with both high hook potential and high angularity on todays lane conditions.
The Total Inferno uses the lowest RG core Brunswick has ever put in a bowling ball. A fast revving, super-ultra-low-RG-core helps the Total Inferno deliver great mid-lane recovery. Then, Octane Gription coverstock takes over and produces a stronger version of the move made famous by the Absolute Inferno; angular but controllable, strong but continuous. This strong down lane move delivers the highest hook potential Brunswick has achieved in a pearlized ball.
Utility
Out of the Box: With its Rough Buff finish, the Total Inferno will match up well on medium to oily lane conditions.
When dulled:. Shiny surface finishes sometimes cause the ball to go too long before breaking. To get your Total Inferno rolling sooner, dull the surface with a Scotch-brite grey pad, or similar abrasive, to increase hooking action. To further increase hooking action, use a rougher abrasive to create an earlier reaction. Dulling your Total Inferno will increase its hooking action and its arc will become more even, creating a better match-up for oily lane conditions. Dulling also helping to blend the over/under reactions seen on wet/dry lane conditions. To bring your Total Inferno back to its original factory finish, sand the surface to 220-grit then use Brunswick's Factory Finish Rough Buff.
Blast Zone
Brunswick Bowling Balls. The Blast Zone brings an updated version of bowling's first asymmetric core, the Phantom core. The Blast Zone is sure to blow your mond and Blast yopur competition.
For 2007, Brunswick is bringing back an updated version of the bowling industrys original asymmetric core. The Phantom core was the first core with a two-pin design and a built in Preferential Spin Axis (PSA). The ABC/USBC used the Phantom core to establish the original RGmin and RGdiff specifications for the system of bowling. By using an updated version of the Phantom core, Brunswick has increased the asymmetric differential of the Zone line from 0.017 to 0.020. Combined with Activator coverstock and a 800-grit wet sand finish, the Blast Zone upgrades the Strike Zone in the Zone Asymmetric line.
The Blast Zone uses a hybrid version of Activator coverstock, combining the Activator Solid from the Ultimate Inferno with the Activator Pearl from the Original Inferno. The Blast Zone retains the popular Activator ball reaction. Clean through the heads, but with an early revving type of roll, that promotes mid-lane recovery and a powerful but continuous breakpoint.
Out of the Box: With its 800-grit wet sand surface, the Blast Zone is an ideal asymmetric ball on medium-to-oily lane conditions.
If your Blast Zone goes too long: Dull the surface using 600-grit or rougher abrasive. The hooking action will increase and its arc will become more even, creating a better match-up for oily lane conditions and for smoothing over/under reactions seen on wet/dry lane conditions.
If your Blast Zone hooks too early: Smooth the surface with 1000, 2000 or 4000-grit abrasives to create more length. If your Blast Zone still hooks too early, polish the surface with either Brunswicks Factory Finish High Gloss Polish or Rough Buff. High Gloss Polish creates more length than Rough Buff.
Red Zone
Brunswick Bowling Balls. Get ready to score with the Brunswick Red Zone. Brunswick engineers have drawn up a new playmaker that offers control and explosive hitting power to tackle the toughest lane conditions. Put the new Red Zone on your team and reach your goal of more consistent scoring.
The Red Zone is an upgrade to the popular Zone Classic. By eliminating the pearl from the Zone Classic and using a solid version of Activator coverstock, backend traction in carrydown is improved. The Red Zone delivers the utility of a highly polished ball with improved ability to handle oil down lane.
Best suited for medium-dry to medium-oily lane conditions. The Red Zone retains the popular Activator ball reaction. Clean through the heads but with a early revving type of roll that promotes mid-lane recovery and a powerful but continious breakpoint.
BVP Mammoth
Brunswick Bowling Balls. BVP Brunswick Value Performance Exceptional Value and Great Performance
The Brunswick BVP series has been developed to provide the widest range of reactions available at the popular

mid-price point. The BVP series provides any bowler the ball performance theyre looking for at a price they can afford.
Technology
The BVP Mammoth brings two new technologies into the BVP line, Multi-Sided Symmetric Core Technology, and Activator High Load Particle Coverstock to create performance that improves on the reaction of balls such as the BVP Goliath and Swamp Monster.
Multi-Sided symmetric core designs have been used in Brunswick High Performance balls since 2000. Featuring exotic shapes that are easy to drill, the Multi-Sided shape is locked into the outer core, leaving little chance for core separation. The Rocket Core used in the 14-16 pound Mammoth pushes the RG to a lower level than previous BVP balls. Brunswick research has shown that lower RGs are a better match for todays lane conditions, which often include: high efficiency lubricants, daily full-lane stripping and longer, higher volume lane oil patterns. In this environment, lower RGs improve mid-lane traction and reduce over/under reactions at the breakpoint.
The Mammoth utilizes a High Load Particle version of Activator Coverstock Technology. Activator coverstock technology was introduced into Brunswick High Performance Balls in 2003 and is known for its durability and ball reaction. The Mammoths Activator high load particle coverstock propels it to the highest hook potential rating ever for a Brunswick ball.
Reaction Characteristics
Out of the Box: With its 400-grit wet sand surface, the Mammoth creates an early rolling, big hooking reaction favored by high speed or lower rev rate players who struggle with too much length or too little reaction in the oil.
When shined: Dull surface finishes can sometimes hook too early resulting in reduced backend reaction and hitting power. To increase length, polish the surface with either Brunswicks Factory Finish High Gloss Polish or Rough Buff. After polishing your Mammoth will go longer in the oil and react stronger to the dry creating an arc, that while still even in character, is slightly more skid/snap than the out-of the-box reaction. A polished Mammoth has a slightly lower hook potential and is an excellent choice for smoothing the over/under reactions bowlers sometimes see with Reactive coverstock balls. When the dry part of the lane is too dry, either in the track or at the end of the oil pattern, a polished Mammoth can smooth over reactions, maintain good traction in the oil, while retaining the big hook potential associated with Reactive coverstocks.
BVP Sidewinder
Brunswick Bowling Balls. BVP "Brunswick Value Performance" Exceptional Value and Great Performance
The Brunswick BVP series has been developed to provide the widest range of reactions available at the popular mid-price point. The BVP series provides any bowler the ball performance they're looking for at a price they can afford.
Coverstock

The BVP Sidewinder features Brunswicks first Solid / Pearl Hybrid -Low Load Particle coverstock. Known for mid-lane recovery with controlled and continuous breakpoints, the Brunswick low load particle ball reaction has been a favorite for many types of bowlers on both high scoring house shotsand more demanding sport lane conditions.
The Sidewinders version of the low load particle coverstock is an updated version of the same coverstock made popular by the Fuze Eliminator, Danger Zone Pro HPD and Navy Quantum. The Sidewinder version is

Solid / Pearl hybrid with a low load of traction increasing particles distributed in all colors.
Core
The Sidewinder upgrades the performance of the BVP Ambush by using Brunswick new lower RG Rocket core system. The lower RG of the Rocket core helps the Sidewinder get into anearlier roll which helps create more mid-lane recovery on todays high viscosity oils and hard synthetic lane surfaces.
